I grew up in Sanilac County and have always had a passion for all sports. It made a big impact on my life and taught me discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship. I left the area for college and recently moved back with my wife and three children. Unfortunately our local communities have declined in having youth sports available. My kids are very active and have a love for sports, and I want my kids to have the same opportunities as I did growing up. Their is a huge need for local communities to have an opportunity at having local youth sports options, like they do in bigger communities. We are very excited to be able to volunteer our time and create Sanilac County Youth Sports.

My Youth Coaching Background – I have coached 7 seasons of flag football, 3 seasons of basketball, and 3 seasons of baseball.

I am a teacher at Sandusky Elementary School. My husband and I have been living in the area for 14 plus years and have two children, our son is very active in sports. In Sanilac County there aren’t many sports options for the younger youth and we want to change that. We have been driving countless hours to play sports and in our small community we see a big need to expand youth sports. With that being said, we are excited to start Sanilac County Youth Sports, getting more youth and families involved. I am super excited for the upcoming Fall SCYS season! I hope to see you all there.

I am Gregory Sonnenberg, and I have been a part of this community my whole life. My kids go to Sandusky Elementary, and play sports for Sandusky. My family and I love being active, and my kids are becoming more involved in sports, which has shown me that we need more offered locally. I am excited to a part of the change for this community and watch young athletes grow and better them selves. I have a strong passion for helping kids develop into strong young athletes. I enjoy coaching all ages of kids and can be versatile to any sport.
